Rajnath asks Centre to take steps for creation of T-state

Stating that there was a pro-Telangana wave in the recent by elections, former BJP president Rajnath Singh said on Wednesday that the Congress government at the Centre should immediately initiate the political and constitutional process for carving separate state. Rajnath Singh was in the city on his way to Karnataka and took part in the partys state office-bearers meeting.Talking to the media,he said the people of Telangana have given a clear message to the Congress that they want separate Telangana. It is high time the Congress initiated the process respecting the sentiments of the people of Telangana. The BJP is ready to support the T-bill in Parliament. We are committed for the separate state, said Rajnath.

The former BJP chief said the Congress party promised separate Telangana during 2004 elections and it had included it in its manifesto but it forgot its commitment after coming into power.Replying to a question,Rajnath said bringing a private member bill not be of any use.Reacting on the national issues,Rajnath said that the present alarming situation in Jammu and Kashmir is because of the flip-flop and confused policies of the UPA government.

He alleged that its an anti-India attempt by the ISI,which is exploiting the sentiments of local people. The people who are involved in violence should be kept behind bars and their passports should be confiscated. He said that there should be a twopronged strategy on Kashmir, one by strengthening the internal security mechanism and ensuring better coordination among various central and state agencies and second is,by making Pakistan accountable for actions of anti-India terrorists operating from its soil.Rajnath said that his party will take up the misuse of CBI in Parliament. He said action should be taken against the responsible in the Commonwealth Games scam.
