The much anticipated interactive meeting of Prajarajyam Party workers from Telangana with party chief K Chiranjeevi on Tuesday turned out to be a nostalgic affair with the latter vouching to stand by them in their fight on all public issues. The PRP chief said he was happy to see so many people accept his invitation and come forward to rebuild the party. I am delighted to see you all.In fact,I am humbled by your affection. Once situation is congenial,I will resume my fight for all aggrieved sections in T region, the PRP chief said addressing a gathering of nearly 500 party workers,who expressed their eagerness to rebuild the party in Telangana region.
Explaining reasons for his stand for a unified state,Chiranjeevi said it was on his insistence that the Union government had appointed a committee of experts to look into the regional demands of a section of the people.We will abide by any recommendation or decision made by the committee, he said. Party leaders said Tuesdays meeting was significant as it was nearly impossible for them to even identify anyone with the party in ten Telangana districts.
