BJP plans to lure TDP cadre in T region

After TRS,now it is the BJP which is trying to poach the TDP cadre in Telangana. The party proposes to start the poaching activity from September 25 when it proposes to launch the Palle Pilupu programme.
This decision was taken at the three-day Chintan baithak of the party, which concluded in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. The baithak also asked the party leaders to visit rural areas, about 5,000 villages in the state and more particularly in the Telangana districts. Talking to TOI, party general secretary N Ramchander Rao said all the important leaders have been asked to take part in the visit to the rural areas and strengthen the party at village and booth level.

The party was of the opinion that the TDP was loosing credibility among the people of Telangana particularly after the recent bypolls and hence,BJP should grab the opportunity to increase its base.It feels that there are large number of TDP workers who were not willing to go with TRS and the BJP should tap all such people. Those unwilling to join TRS could opt for BJP since it was their friendly party in the past.Meanwhile,BJP national executive member Bandaru Dattatreya wrote a letter to CM K Rosaiah demanding an all-party meeting to discuss the controversy pertaining to six coalbased thermal power plants in Srikakulam.
