CM, Ministers at loggerheads - Minister Vijayaramaraju Offers To Resign

It appears that serious differences have cropped up between Cabinet Ministers and the CM over release of funds for various welfare schemes and the way CM has been treating the ministers at Cabinet Meets. The ministers feel that the CM has often been very harsh on them. According to sources, minister for transport S Vijayaramaraju offered to resign at Thursdays cabinet meet and suggested that Rosaiah should reshuffle his team and take in only those people whom he trust and the CM retorted saying he would do that if need be. It all began when minister D Sridhar Babu raised the issue of delay in reimbursement of fees and scholarships to poor students. Rosaiah told him that the state was under financial strain and hence the system needs to be streamlined. When Sridhar Babu said that it was a promise made during YSRs time, Rosaiah retorted saying do you think I have the money and Im keeping it in my pocket? Tell me where shall I cut the allocations? When the minister pointed out that there was severe criticism in the media and political circles over the delay, the CM is learnt to have shot back: It was unfortunate that some people who dont have morals or discipline were doing it and it is sad that none of the ministers were reacting to such criticism nor was anyone condemning it or issuing an appropriate rejoinder.
