Vijayashanti a chameleon in politics

Prajarajyam Party on Friday lashed out at Medak MP Vijayashanti for asking party chief Chiranjeevi to move out of the city and shift to the Andhra region. Several Prajarajyam Party leaders were critical of the tone and tenor unleashed by the TRS MP against their party president. Party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma labelled her as a chameleon changing colours to suit her existence in the political arena. The PRP leaders cautioned Vijayashanti to refrain from making such statements & asked her to do herhomework before commenting on any public issue. She is currently the most opportunistic political face in the state.First, she joined the BJP,then started the Talli Telangana Party and later merged it with TRS in return for a ticket to the Lok Sabha. With her popularity on the wane, she is making statements to make headlines. How will people have faith in a leader who had almost mortgaged her present partys interests with the ruling Congress party and also late Congress chief minister, Padma said. Meanwhile, PRP leader Veda Vyas too was critical of the Medak MPs tirade against Chiranjeevi. Everyone knows about her roots. What better can we expect from an MP when her own constituency people lodged a missing complaint against her at a police station, he said.

Vijayashanti's scathing comments against Chiranjeevi followed after the PRP opposed the resolution passed in the state assembly on Thursday seeking to make Hyderabad a part of zone six for police transfers and appointments.Prajarajyam is the only political party to take a clear stand against the creation of Telangana state.

OU peaceful, AP tells SC

New Delhi: The Supreme Court, which on Friday received a sealed cover from the AP government explaining the circumstances which led to deployment of paramilitary forces on the Osmania University campus, directed the state to give a copy of the same to the petitioners and posted the matter to March 26 for further hearing. The interim stay imposed on the AP High Court order on immediate withdrawal of the forces from the campus would continue till then. The state, however, informed the court that since normalcy was restored on the campus, the state has already withdrawn the forces. The sealed cover which contained an affidavit describing the OU situation was prepared and signed by the three-member committee appointed to oversee the OU issue in the wake of the students agitation. The committee comprising OU vice chancellor, state home secretary and Hyderabad police commissioner is said to have mentioned in their report that the forces were deployed following an alert from intelligence sleuths that Maoists elements had crept into the campus to create trouble

Bandh in Visakhapatnam today

Leaders of various student bodies and Prajarajyam Party called for a bandh in Visakhapatnam on Saturday in protest against the state assembly resolution requesting the Centre to obtain Presidents approval for deletion of a clause in a state law that limits job opportunities only to those from Telangana areas. It is sad that the assembly has passed such a resolution that declares Hyderabad as part of Zone VI. Upon change in the law the job opportunities will be restricted to those from five districts of Telangana, the student leaders said here on Friday. The PRP and other parties have also supported the bandh call for a shutdown in the port city. The one-line resolution requesting deletion of the clause in the Andhra Pradesh public employment order 1975 was adopted by a voice vote in the legislative assembly on Thursday.
