T celebrations at Mahbubnagar

Mahbubnagar/ Nizamabad/ Adilabad : Massive celebrations broke out across the region with the announcement of the formation of Telangana as the 29th state of the country. Slogans of Jai Telangana and Jai Congress rang out across the district,where people were glued to the television since morning watching the developments in Delhi. As the announcement was made at 7 pm,people of all age groups,from schoolchildren to the elderly,rushed out onto the streets to celebrate and exchange greetings,distributing sweets,bursting crackers and beating drums.

In Mahbubnagar,former MP Vital Rao said credit goes to the martyrs of the Telangana movement. We have been saying that only the Congress can achieve a separate state of Telangana.Now it has been granted by the Congress along with the UPA, he said.A lot of students and youth of the region sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana.We salute them.In the new state,we expect to have a prosperous and decent life, said DCC member K Srinivas.TRS politburo member and former MP P Jithendhar Reddy said the credit for the victory should go to the TRS. Due to our intense struggle, all the people of the region will lead an honorable life. It is a remarkable day in the history of Telangana, he said.

In Nizamabad,JAC,TRS and other people who had been campaigning for a separate Telangana state gathered at Dharna Chowk in front of district collectorate and greeted each other with slogans of Jai Telangana.Student JAC leaders paid tributes to martyrs of the Telangana movement at martyrs statue at Gandhi Chowk.In Adilabad,Telangana activists celebrated by distributing sweets and bursting crackers at Ambedkar Chowrasta.
